Summer Reading Challenges!

We have many opportunities for you to read good books this summer!


1.  Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge #1:  Wolverines Read Summer BOOKLIST 2024 Challenge - Read /Listen to as many of these Suggested Summer Reads as you can and submit at least ONE (1) Review in Beanstack.  These suggested reads will be available in SORA as either ebooks, audiobooks, or both!)  TOP 3 READERS WIN A PRIZE!

2.  Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge #2:  Wolverines Read Summer MINUTES - You can add this challenge to the above challenge simultaneously, or do this alone to log minutes for whatever you read.  Read/Listen to any book you want and log your minutes. TOP 3 READERS WIN A PRIZE!

3.  SORA and SORA Summer Sweet Reads - These are audio and ebooks within SORA that are ALWAYS available (no waiting) from May 13th to Aug. 26th

4.  Summer Checkouts:  Check out books from our WUHS library and keep them over the summer!  Return them in the fall!

5. Next year's BOMC choices or Battle of the Books Choices - get a head start on Next Year's Book Club books or Battle of the Books choices!

Three times a year, Fiero Code runs world-wide coding competitions for users ages 8-18. Free to enter, and amazing prizes, these competitions can be done on your own time via Fiero Code. Just log in here and there, work on your project, and complete it by July 31. 

Looking for something fun to do while on school break? How about you log into Fiero Code, click on the Challenge page, and start building an amazing program! 

This competition runs from June 1 through July 31. Even if you're a beginner coder, this competition is for you! No expertise required.

This database  provides access to all of YALSA's annual selected book and media lists, awards, and honorees. These books and media have been selected for teens from 12-18 years of age, and span a broad range of reading and maturity levels.  

This goodreads Listopia>teen books list  organizes readers' recommended teen booklists by many different genres and categories.

Our Badgerlink database includes Novelist, which allows users to find fiction recommendations with read-alikes, discussion guides, reading lists, and more. For teens and adults.
